Children with a passion for the gospel

(This post is part of our “Give away the gospel” series.)

We received a note from a parent on how her two children have a passion for sharing the gospel with their friends.

Our 4th grade daughter decided that she wanted to give The Lamb as a part of her Valentine’s to her classmates. We are not allowed to distribute these at our public school, so she plans to mail them. Our 7th grade son takes [copies of] The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus wherever he goes to give to his friends. There is no greater joy than when your own children walk in the truth!

We think we can learn so much about giving the Gospel from them. They use every opportunity to share the good news to people in their lives, even Valentine’s Day. Maybe we can pause to think how we can share the good news with those in our lives.

  1. Tonight I went to a hospital here in Northern England to visit a dear friend who is having kidney problems. During the visit I was talking to one of the nurses in his ward and asked her if she likes to read. She said that she did. So I gave her a copy of “By This Name”. She thanked me and said that she would read it. As I presented the book to her, standing next to me was Pete, the man from a local village, who came to know the Lord through a “Stranger On The Road To Emmaus” study that we conducted last year. I was thrilled that this young christian saw how easy it is to just give the gospel away.

    1. Thanks for sharing that story Mark! Such an encouragement to others on how easy it is to give away the gospel.

Share your thoughts! We'd love to hear from you.
