The team just completed two Worldview Rethink Workshops in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. As one of our staff members mentioned, the best word to sum up the workshops was “motivational.” More than just providing good knowledge and solid Bible teaching, the workshops encouraged participants to start sharing the gospel, whether it’s leading a study or simply giving a book to a friend. Many participants came up to us to say, “This is what I’m going to do!”
Already, we know of several people who are going to start studies in their churches or homes. One couple equipped themselves with Worldview Rethink visual aids to lead an elderly gentlemen through a study. Another man from a nearby university took copies of All That the Prophets have Spoken to pass to friends who were from the Middle East.
And one other gentleman went to a local coffeeshop and offered to do a The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus VideoBook study in an quiet room upstairs. On the first night, as he was waiting for people to turn up, he saw two ladies whom he knew, standing outside. He chatted with them and told them about the study he was about to run. One of the ladies said she didn’t want anything to do with God but agreed to come in and watch a bit of the video. At the end of the first session, she said she was coming back to join the group for the second session!
It’s so exciting to see believers going out to share the gospel!
