One of the most common reasons that believers don’t share the gospel message is that they don’t know what to say. Even if they had a friend or neighbour willing to learn the message of the Bible, these believers are nervous because they don’t know where to begin. We can understand that sentiment. The Bible is a big book!
At a recent training session, 25 people at a church gathered to learn how to share the gospel. They were brought through The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus. When they discovered that leading a study was as simple as reading aloud the text of the book, their enthusiasm bubbled over. “I can do this!” they thought.
Soon after the training session, we received prayer requests from the group. Several of them had invited people to a do study and were about to begin. One of the ladies had arranged to do the whole study over several days. Now that she knew how to share, she was wasting no time!
All these believers wanted to share the gospel. They simply needed a little encouragement and tools like The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus to help them share the Good News of the Bible with friends and neighbours. We pray they will have a fruitful time of sharing a clear gospel.
